Join me on a stunning winter hike up Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain, via the classic Wasdale route! I set off from the National Trust car park in Wasdale under beautiful clear skies, and by the time I reached the upper slopes the entire summit was covered in fresh snow. Absolutely breathtaking conditions and one of the best days I’ve ever had in the Lake District. This is the least technical and most direct route up Scafell Pike, but don’t be fooled — it’s still a steep, rocky climb with plenty of leg-burning moments! The reward at the top though… unreal. Crystal-clear views, snow underfoot, and that huge summit cairn appearing out of the white. In this video I cover: 🔥 The full Wasdale route to Scafell Pike 🔥 What the ascent is really like in winter conditions 🔥 Snowy summit footage + incredible views 🔥 Honest thoughts on how “easy” the easiest route actually feels 🔥 Tips for anyone planning this ascent themselves Whether you’re planning your own Scafell Pike hike, training for the Three Peaks Challenge, or just love epic mountain scenery, this one’s worth watching start to finish. ⭐ If you enjoy this video, please hit LIKE and SUBSCRIBE It massively helps the channel grow, and I’ve got loads more UK hikes coming soon, including the Lake District, Wales, Peak District, and more winter adventures. 🏔️ Route Info • Start: National Trust Wasdale Car Park • Route: Direct Wasdale path (least technical ascent) • Distance: ~9 km round trip • Conditions: Clear skies, snowy tops, light winter winds • Difficulty: Moderate–Hard (steep but straightforward navigation) 💬 Comment below: Have you climbed Scafell Pike before?
