Direct Speech की संरचना Reporting Verb + Comma + Inverted Commas (“ ”) + Reported Speech 👉 Sudhir said, “I am busy.” 🔹 2. Indirect Speech की संरचना Reporting Verb + (that/if/whether/wh-word) + Subject + Verb 👉 Sudhir said that he was busy. 🔥 COMPETITION LEVEL RULES ✅ RULE 1: Reporting Verb के अनुसार Tense Change (A) यदि Reporting Verb Present या Future में हो 👉 Tense नहीं बदलेगा। He says, “I am happy.” → He says that he is happy. (B) यदि Reporting Verb Past में हो 👉 Tense बदल जाएगा (Backshift Rule) Direct Tense Indirect Tense Present Indefinite Past Indefinite Present Continuous Past Continuous Present Perfect Past Perfect Past Indefinite Past Perfect Will Would Can Could Shall Should/Would May Might 👉 He said, “I work hard.” → He said that he worked hard. ❗ RULE 2: Universal Truth में Tense Change नहीं होगा 👉 The teacher said, “The sun rises in the east.” → The teacher said that the sun rises in the east. ✅ RULE 3: Pronoun Change Rule (Golden Rule) Pronoun बदलते समय 3 बातों का ध्यान रखें: First Person → Subject के अनुसार Second Person → Object के अनुसार Third Person → No change 👉 He said to me, “I will help you.” → He told me that he would help me. ✅ RULE 4: Words Change (Time/Place Change) Direct Indirect Now Then Today That day Tomorrow The next day Yesterday The previous day Here There Ago Before This That 👉 He said, “I will come tomorrow.” → He said that he would come the next day. 🔥 SENTENCE TYPE RULES 🔹 1. Assertive Sentence 👉 “that” का प्रयोग 👉 said to → told 🔹 2. Interrogative Sentence (A) Yes/No Type Question 👉 if / whether 👉 Helping verb हटेगा 👉 Statement structure He said, “Are you ready?” → He asked if I was ready. (B) Wh-Question 👉 Wh-word वही रहेगा She said, “Where do you live?” → She asked where I lived. 🔹 3. Imperative Sentence (Order, Request, Advice) 👉 Reporting Verb बदलता है: ordered, requested, advised, suggested etc. 👉 to + verb का प्रयोग He said, “Open the door.” → He ordered to open the door. ❌ → He ordered me to open the door. ✅ 🔹 4. Exclamatory Sentence 👉 exclaimed with joy/sorrow/surprise 👉 that का प्रयोग She said, “What a beautiful day!” → She exclaimed with joy that it was a very beautiful day. 🔹 5.
