This was a total surprise and ended up being perhaps my most overpowered Bahamut yet. I was so overbuffed that I didn’t even anti-full break in phase 3 - Scott and Firion capped right on through Apex Rage. This realm is a seriously overlooked physical fire powerhouse. I pulled for Gordon’s gear and though Scott’s sync sword trolled me way too much, I finally got it and went in for the fight. Firion - His aasb1 has a nice finisher on it, so I used this first so that it would trigger in phase 3. He also has a usb with a Cloud-like physical damage buff (apart from making his abilities insta-cast thereafter), and of course his Sync commands set up an extra level of damage cap. The timing was accidentally perfect, where I had the sync damage cap chase ready when his aasb finisher triggered, doing a ton of hits at 40k. Scott - His aasb has a chase that sets up 50% extra fire damage, and his sync C1 buffs the party’s fire level, as well as offers a party attack/def buff on entry. That, with his new 6* materia for even more damage, make him a real fire heavy-hitter. Gordon - His sync has an Edward-aasb-like buff on it, and allows him to entrust some meter (2 turns of C2) without actually losing it, making him excellent battery. His original aasb sets up a 30% physical damage buff for the party, and he can constantly imperil via wrath/entrust. Josef - Beyond an antifullbreak aasb for phase 1, Josef has a sync for party 100% crit (though I unfortunately didn’t realize this when the banner came and didn’t pull for it). He also has a few sources of last stand (Lm2, one of his aasbs), and also sets up the same party weakness damage buff that Gordon’s antifullbreak aasb has. Elarra - only here to bard for crit% and to set up crit damage buff. Josef’s HA helps keep the damage low for Elarra to keep folks alive with only her crit damage buff usb2 active. I played this with the usual strategy of rushing to phase 2, but when I got to phase 3, Gordon was a single hit or turn away from having enough meter to anti-fullbreak aasb. Thinking I had to reroute things and try over, I nearly stopped recording... but then Scott took a turn and hit non-stop 30ks! Turns out, you can overbuff phase 3 fullbreak, and this is a realm to do it in! Buffs active to ignore phase 3 fullbreak: Scott: Gordon physical damage chase (30%), attack 30% buff from Gordon sync, Josef aasb effect (30% weakness), full +6 fire damage via prior C1 spam, full imperil for fire via Gordon materia and HC, crit with crit damage buff, and finally a 50% fire damage buff from his aasb chase. Firion: usb physical damage buff, sync command damage boost, gulp chase, and then all the aforementioned buffs via Gordon and Josef. Turns out you can overbuff your way through! SBs used: Scott: aasb, sync Josef: Aasb1, Aasb2 Elarra: usb2 (crit damage), Sync Firion: aasb, usb(rush of arms), sync Gordon: Sync, aasb1
