Senior kinesiology students at UCalgary have the opportunity for work-integrated learning by taking practicums on campus and in the community. Students have more than 100 practicums to choose from, and many are within the faculty. The Faculty of Kinesiology is home to research facilities and labs as well as the Olympic Oval, Sport Medicine Centre, Dinos Athletics and Active Living. Active Living includes indoor campus recreation programs and facilities, as well as the Outdoor Centre which has gear rentals and classes. Students can try out careers in physical therapy, chiropractic, rehab, coaching, sport and health promotion, research and more. The hands-on experience helps students decide on a future career.
