Most of the most significant advances that have been made in the recent past have been made in quiet, institutional government-to-government contacts, rather than these high-profile meetings between leaders." Various of security in stadium STORYLINE : Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf will arrive in India on Saturday for a three-day official visit, his second in nearly four years. Whilst he is there he will watch a game of cricket between India and Pakistan and hold talks with Indian leaders on the issue of Kashmir. The visit will mark the second time that a Pakistani leader has used cricket diplomacy to improve relations with its neighbour. In 1987, Pakistan's then President General Zia-ul-Haq attended a test match between India and Pakistan in the Indian city of Jaipur - a visit that helped ease tension between the two nations. In preparation for the visit, security in the Indian capital has been stepped up significantly. The one-day international cricket match will be played on Sunday at New Delhi's Ferozeshah Kotla ground. President Musharraf will be accompanied at the game by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as well as other dignitaries. The visit comes amid efforts by the two nuclear-armed South Asian neighbours to ease decades of enmity and talk peace. Musharraf and former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee began efforts more than a year ago to normalise relations between Pakistan and India and resolve the two countries' dispute over Kashmir.
