There was a period in my life where I realised I wasn’t actually living inside my body. I was functioning. I was spiritualising everything. I was “aware.” But I wasn’t fully present. In this video, I talk about dissociation , what it really is, why we detach from the body when we don’t feel safe, and how trauma can cause us to disconnect as a survival response. When the nervous system doesn’t feel safe, the body can feel like somewhere we want to escape from. So we leave. Mentally. Emotionally. Energetically. This isn’t weakness. It’s protection.
