Titan Canyon – Battle of Legends Diamond Tier - 265-310M bracket Rank 2 team Szliszka Perspective VIP13 CE Battle date: 09/27/2023 Team: WestBest Szliszka - 57M cp Crixus - 51M cp Toso - 53M cp (hits more like a 65m+) JohnJ - 53M cp MM Jimbob - 50M cp MM This was my first Titan canyon battle of legends and I mistakenly believed that 50M cp was the cutoff for the gold bracket, so we formed a team of the strongest players for their respective CPs under 59M. Thus we were shocked to find that we ended up getting seeded into the diamond tier as the weakest team by CP (we were the 265M team in the 265-310M bracket). I believe we were the only team without a 60M+ player in this bracket, so we definitely expected an uphill battle. However, between getting assistance from a team from our same alliance (thanks yomomma and papamonk) and good team work going for team points rather than simply base burning, we were able to steal the crumbs underneath the other teams and take 2nd place in this bracket. I believe most of our opponents were in the VIP15-16 range as I only found 2 players in my battle reports who were VIP13 or under. However, I was surprised at how well I was able to trade against those players with multiple ES7s. Several 65-70M players also jumped into our area, but we were able to push them back as they were not able to cost effectively burn us without wasting too many gems. I did get burned twice with my main out and once at the end because I didn't think it was worth my gems to repair at that point. Notable moments: 0:00-3:14 - scanning competition and setting up our home base. 5:30 - first player coming in to try to pick off our MMs (and failed), we made him leave pretty quickly. 9:04 - first real assault against our home base from 3 60M+ CP players. They picked off one of our weaken towers, but didn't see the second one and we were able to trade well on defense. Toso was able to burn one of the 60M players and HacLong decided it wasn't worth wasting gems to try to kick us out (he comes back later but we were able to hold him off). A much larger player RaiderOz 67M cp gave us trouble, but PapaMonk, a friendly player, was able to burn him and force him out of our territory. A 4th 60M player popped in later, but we were able to keep him in check while I tried to help other alliance team. 15:40 - burning another one of our assaulters (52M), but got burned by a 70M with my main out. ouch. 21:40 - Our first offensive push for another building, got stupidly burnt quick sending marches to kill their weakening, but ported them back. We were able to beat a number of decently strong players but when Mayhem (68M morale 10) ported in, I decided not to stay longer. Took his first hit well. 28:59 - My most impressive hit of the match - saw Icarus (55M VIP16) had most of his mains out, but his triple ES7, full gold titan gear army main came back in time and I was still able to take 1000+ troops despite him having weakening protection. 47:45 for report and stats. 32:31 - shooing away CaptYami (VIP16 60M) from our base. Strong player with several ES7s, but I've always traded well against him across our SVS's and ELs. He left pretty quickly. 35:29 - assaulting another team who seemed pretty spent already. By this point, we were solidly in second place thanks to our MMs clearing mines and gathering and keeping our home base healthy. 39:12 - JJ, arguably the strongest player in this field assaults our base and burns Toso. We keep him on lockdown with mucus and magnets and try to run down the clock. 42:31 - Taking 7 hits from Mayhem before burning.
