A double seafood sandwich for the turn of the 20th century? Yep! It’s the Anchovy and Lox Sandwich from 1905’s Salads, Sandwiches, and Savouries. And yes, it was published in England (the spelling of savouries should’ve been the giveaway. Here’s the deal, it does call for anchovy paste.
