Sacramento, California (PSN) — Sacramento Police responded to a series of sideshows across the city last night, with officers taking enforcement action amid the gatherings. According to a media release from the Sacramento Police Department, locations included the 1400 block of Meadowview Road, 5th/X Street, Norwood/Bell, and Northgate/Wisconsin. The sideshow events saw fluctuating attendance, peaking at approximately 200 vehicles throughout the night. In response, officers took measures including issuing citations, towing vehicles, and making arrests, as per the media release. "When it was safe to do so, officers took enforcement action, which included issuing citations, towing vehicles, and making arrests," stated the media release from the Sacramento Police Department. During the incidents, two pursuits ensued, one of which was terminated due to hazardous driving conditions. However, the other pursuit culminated in an arrest, with the assistance of a law enforcement aircraft. Both the driver and passenger were apprehended, with the driver facing charges related to reckless driving and the pursuit. "There were two related pursuits," the media release noted. "One was canceled due to the suspect's driving conditions. The other resulted in an arrest with the assistance of a police helicopter. Both the driver and passenger were detained.
