Going North - Episode 1: An Alaskan Odyssey - Journey to the Chris McCandless bus

This is Episode 1 in a series about a road trip to Alaska, in a 49 year old car! I bought this car in December 2018 for $1500 and have been preparing it for this trip. Our goal is to get to the Chris McCandless bus from the movie Into The Wild! Over 6600 kms round trip and we have two weeks to accomplish this! Are we crazy? Stupid? Insane? Can you reliably drive that far in a car that old? We think we can! Along the way we will do plenty of sightseeing and random camping. Going to deviate off the Alaska Highway for a short bit and go up to Dawson City. After a day or so there, we take the ferry and head to the USA on the Top of the World Highway.
