In this episode we start our adventure and set out from our home port of Le Légué in Saint Brieuc, Brittany, to make our way to the ‘Ille et Rance Canal’ at its confluence with the English channel at Saint Malo. Adventures aboard SV MINUET highlights my continuing quest to explore the seas and inland waterways of the world. I bought a Southerly 95 because the southerlies have a retractable keel enabling them to stay afloat in very shallow water (55cm) or even to run aground and wait for the tide to come back up!
