(WYBDR) Day Four on the Wyoming Backcountry Discovery Route Day four of the WY BDR kicked off with waking up lake front at the Alcova Receiver just down the road from the Alcova resort. I have to say it truly was an amazing place to camp for sure. Water was not to cold either being that the temps where close to 90ºF once we arrived in the afternoon. However leaving Alcova we went up to the local General Store to gas up and grab some supplies before heading off. The General Store really has everything you need. So we decided to bypass the first half of the BDR route due to so many riders that we ran into that had some major issues with deep sand ruts so we all voted to just slab that first half. We took the bail out section of ore road that took up right to the white rim junction. This turned out to be the best option as the sand was not bad at all from Ore Road to Atlantic City. Once we got to Atlantic City we met Wild Bill whom owns the Minors Delight cabins. Fantastic guy for sure and cant say enough how accommodating he was during our visit. We then called the up to the Atlantic City Mercantile to see if they where open for us to come by and eat. Food was amazing by the way. That next morning before heading out Wild Bill put on this freaking amazing breakfast and we all sat down in the main house to eat. Absolutely my favorite spot in all the WYBDR trip.
