US Road Trip 2019 - Day 16, Nashville TN to Charleston SC

Wednesday 8 May 2019 Day 16 of my 2019 coast-to-coast (and back again) US road trip. This video sees me head east from Nashville, Tennessee to Charleston, South Carolina. On the way to Charleston I stop to check out the Appalacian trail, and again at Caesar's Head, with a view of the Smoky Mountains. After checking into the Notso Hostel in Charleston I explore downtown and the stately homes around the waterfront and Battery Park. I finish the evening with dinner at Hyman's seafood before returning to my hostel. MY COAST TO COAST US ROAD TRIP Starting on the Pacific coast in Los Angeles in late-April 2019, I drove cross-country to Charleston South Carolina on the Atlantic coast, before looping south and heading right back again. I covered over 8,000 miles (12,000 kilometres) in four weeks. The first half of the trip was with my 21-year-old-son Josh, who flew home after two weeks from Kansas City, Missouri. The second half I was travelling solo.
