US Road Trip 2019 - Day 17, Charleston SC to Savannah GA

Thursday 9 May 2019 Day 17 of my 2019 coast-to-coast (and back again) US road trip. This video sees me head south from Charleston, South Carolina to Savannah, Georgia. On my arrival in Savannah I check out Forsyth Park, and have lunch at Mrs Wilkes' Dining Room. I then drive out to Tybee Beach to see the ocean and the pier, before heading back into town and checking into the Thunderbird Inn. I spend the evening exploring downtown Savannah and the river front. MY COAST TO COAST US ROAD TRIP Starting on the Pacific coast in Los Angeles in late-April 2019, I drove cross-country to Charleston South Carolina on the Atlantic coast, before looping south and heading right back again. I covered over 8,000 miles (12,000 kilometres) in four weeks. The first half of the trip was with my 21-year-old-son Josh, who flew home after two weeks from Kansas City, Missouri. The second half I was travelling solo.
