US Road Trip 2019 - Day 19, Pensacola FL to New Orleans LA

Saturday 11 May 2019 Day 19 of my 2019 coast-to-coast (and back again) US road trip. This video sees me head west from Pensacola, Florida to New Orleans, Louisiana. On my way to New Orleans I stop first at USS Alabama Park just outside Mobile, Alabama, and then to take a swamp tour at the Honey Island Swamp in Louisiana. On my arrival in New orleans I check into the La Galerie Hotel, grab something to eat at Johnny's Po-Boys, then explore the French Quarter (including Jackson Square, Bourbon Street and Frenchman Street). MY COAST TO COAST US ROAD TRIP Starting on the Pacific coast in Los Angeles in late-April 2019, I drove cross-country to Charleston South Carolina on the Atlantic coast, before looping south and heading right back again. I covered over 8,000 miles (12,000 kilometres) in four weeks. The first half of the trip was with my 21-year-old-son Josh, who flew home after two weeks from Kansas City, Missouri. The second half I was travelling solo.
