In this love letter to his mother, Alex talks about the fateful night that his mom, still living in her native Lebanon at the time, saved her father from a rocket-propelled grenade which tore through the family's living room. Alex gives thanks for what she did, grateful that she survived to become his mother and his hero. Alex is currently a seventh-grade student at The Benjamin School. He has enjoyed traveling and exploring new cultures in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Alex also likes playing the trumpet and being a member of Benjamin’s middle school football and lacrosse teams.
