Juseige comes from the Larger Sutra of Immeasurable Life. In this sutra Hozo Bosatsu, who becomes Amida Buddha, made his vows to become a Buddha and established his Pure Land where all beings can find Ultimate Peace. After saying these Vows, he restates the importance of three vows to save all sentient beings.
