August 27 2020 GSSA Lunchtime Lockdown Lecture by Noluthando Zulu The underrepresentation of technical women in executive roles mining companies Noluthando Zulu is currently the Executive Associate to the Group Director of Anglo American South Africa. She was previously a Senior Resource Analyst in Listed Equities at the Public Investment Corporation. She is a qualified Geologist with an undergraduate degree and honors degree in Geological Sciences obtained in 2010 and 2011 respectively. She is currently registered at Wits University doing her Master’s degree in Mining Engineering, majoring in Mineral Economics. Noluthando worked as an underground geologist for Harmony Gold and Royal Bafokeng Platinum before moving into the financial sector working as a sell side mining analyst for Arqaam Capital and Vunani Securities and as a Senior Analyst in Resources at the Public Investment Corporation. She is also a Director of a black female owned drilling company, Dwala Drilling and Logistics and Public Relations Director for the Bellona Female Network. She is passionate about the mining industry, financial markets, and women’s rights.
