Wigan Walks 47 @Night Plantation Gates to Haigh Hall and back via Whelly Loop line in the rain 🌧

Wigan has grown around industry, much of it heavy and polluting, from mining, steel foundries to cotton mills. Today though it is a beautiful place with some former industrial land and railway lines giving us epic walks right on our doorsteps. Nature is now reclaiming it back. I have been walking around the countryside for decades, now I film it, explore and and see if we can see traces of Wigan's glorious past and hope to inspire you to get out there and enjoy nature.
