The sixth book is «Spielplan» consisting of 42 graphic pages describing how to create sounds with a collection of prepared objects and recycled materials amplified with various types of microphones. In the past «Spielplan» was used almost only for staged versions of «Staatstheater», however Kagel proposed also, on the score, a concertante version of the book. In this project, perhaps for the first time, the public can discover all the pages of «Spielplan», exploring the eclectic sonic world imagined by Kagel. «Spielplan» does not involve live electronics effects. The piece is an analogic performance, sounds are shaped by a combination of playing techniques and microphone positioning. The audio technician controls only equalization and volume mixing in the concert hall.
