Finally getting around to this one! Gateway 26 is the largest arcade on the Wildwood boardwalk, and they're also one of the few places down there that is open during the off-season. We visited them a few Sundays ago, and oh my gosh, WHAT A DIFFERENCE between the summer crowds and now. I literally couldn't film in here last summer because it was so jam-packed every single time, but in the middle of March it was practically empty, and we could play just about anything we wanted. Definitely worth making the trip down if you have the ability to do so! With that being said, Gateway 26 has a pretty good mix of stuff in their arcade. There's a lot of redemption games, for sure, but there's also a decent amount of traditional video games as well such as Fast & Furious, Halo, Jurassic Park, Asphalt, etc. There's currently one single pinball machine, a Munsters pro edition. There are quite literally hundreds of claw machines, the majority of which are only 25¢ a play. And yes, they call themselves a "casino arcade", and that's most apparent in the banks of video poker machines they have all throughout the building. Repurposed from old Atlantic City castoffs, they pay out tickets instead of cash. There's an awful lot to do in here, and they're constantly rotating brand new games in and out. In fact, shortly after I visited, they announced that they had just gotten in the brand new Star Wars coin pusher game as well. So now I gotta go back again, I guess! I don't know if I can wait until my annual August trip to Wildwood if I want to check that out!
