Commissioned by the Mercer University Townsend School of Music for the Trombone Quartet under the Direction of Hollie Lawing Pritchard. This piece is inspired by my many beautiful interactions while driving around the streets of Miami. The first part explores the rush to work on a crowded interstate. The second part is inspired by most of the posts I see on Instagram in the afternoon, when people are stuck in traffic getting home, and see a stunning sky as the sun sets. The Hashtag #sunsetappreciation often accompanies these photos. Finally, the third part explores driving around, with a bunch of motorcycles zooming by you and others.
