In this episode of the podcast, I am speaking with Dr Hannah Spier about How Women’s Studies Re-wrote Reality. Amongst other things we talk about how everyone in Norway is a feminist, but how things changed for her once she had a child. How it made her question feminist ideology. We also talk about the work of Janice Fiamengo (and the history of feminism), The Evolution of Women’s studies and how she started Psychobabble. Hannah Spier, M.D. is a Norwegian psychiatrist based in Switzerland, the author of the Substack Psychobabble, and the mother of three small children. She has a degree in psychotherapy from the University of Zürich. She writes and speaks on how modern psychology has lost its way, dissecting how liberal narratives, pop-therapy fads, and identity politics have reshaped the mental health field. Her work has been featured in Commentary Magazine, The Federalist, The American Spectator, and Mad in America. She is the creator of Psychobabble, a Substack publication and podcast offering sharp, no-holds-barred critiques of the culture and today’s mental health discourse.
