After a complete "whitewash" in 2025 where my knees gave out just as I was making progress, I’m back with a new strategy to get from 3.5K to a consistent Parkrun 5K—without the pain. In this video, I’m breaking down my "mythical 3.5K" rule, why I’m alternating between treadmill sessions and trail runs in the Lincolnshire Wolds, and the specific running gear I’m using to absorb the shock. What’s in this video: The Gear: Why I’m using the Nike Vaporfly 4 for the gym (it’s like walking on air!) and Hoka for the trails.
