Mr. Light (Sun Deck) taken from the Super Deluxe edition of Plastic Beach including the singles Rhinestone Eyes, Stylo, Superfast Jellyfish, Fresh Arrivals, Doncamatic and On Melancholy Hill. Subscribe to Gorillaz https://gorillaz.os.fan/signup We're back again for another recreation of Mr. Light, since the last one aged pretty quickly. The biggest change you'll see here is that I've now used the structure of the song "Daft Wader" instead of the one from "Mr. Light." In the previous recreation I used a version of Sun Deck that originated from Soundcloud, and this time, I didn't use it, but decided to make my own beat with the Plastic Beach samples. I took inspiration from the rhythm of Please Forgive My Heart (by Bobby Womack) and I added elements from the live version of Daft Wader (besides the lyrics). And this time, the song isn't 3:42 like the previous ones, but 3:58. I think this lengthens the song just right for what Mr. Light is: a very relaxing song with all the chill essence of Plastic Beach. The songs used were: Mr. Light - From the Sun Deck Teaser of Plastic Beach (2010) Daft Wader (Lyrics, Structure, Backing Track) - From The Nearer The Fountain More pure the Stream Flows (2021) Daft Wader Live at The Union Capel (Bass, Backing Track) - From From The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows (Deluxe) Plastic Beach Drum Samples Disclaimer: The songs used in this recreation are not mine.
