Today, we have a small claims hearing with a man who is suing a car dealership for the extra expenses he occurred after the dealership with whom he had a signed purchase agreement, refused every attempt he made to pay for the car. He claims he had approved financing from 3 different banks and he even offered to fly in from out of state and pay for the car in person, but nothing was good enough for dealership, even though the sales agreement said nothing about the purchase being contingent on any approved financing. The man thinks the dealership committed fraud because he says that not only did they end up misrepresenting the car’s model and trim level on their website, but they also relisted car immediately on that same website for thousands more than he had agreed to pay.
