This year’s conference brings together cutting-edge research and practical insights into how we can better identify and support learners with specific learning difficulties (SpLD). With a strong focus on inclusion and accessibility, the programme explores innovative approaches to early identification through universal screening, as well as evolving perspectives on literacy and maths education. All sessions will be delivered live via our familiar LetsGetDigital online platform, with opportunities for delegates to engage directly with speakers during panel discussions. The morning session centres on the Universal Classroom project, featuring keynote speaker Professor Joel Talcott and contributions from educators involved in its rollout. In the afternoon, the focus shifts to targeted interventions and curriculum developments, with presentations from leading experts including Dr Tim Mills, Professor Julia Carroll, and Professor Jo van Herwegen. Delegates will also hear from Patoss team members on the implications for assessment and policy. Ahead of the event, two pre-conference talks will be available: one on the Developmental Profiling Tool and another exploring current views on literacy and maths for assessors.
