Scratch side dance "William and Nancy" during Jockey Morris Plough Tour Birmingham January 2025

The dance is William and Nancy from the village of Bledington. A scratch side featuring dancers from Devil's Dyke Morris Men (that being Nigel Strudwick, Squire of the Morris Ring, at the time of filming), Uttoxeter Heart of Oak Morris, Bedcote Morris, Taylor Morris and Westminster Morris Dancers. Jockey Morris Annual Plough Tour took place in Birmingham on Saturday 11th January 2025. Jockey Morris Club have been active in Birmingham since their formation in 1949. They have performed all over the country and have been proud to represent morris dancing, and the City of Birmingham, in places as far flung as Warwickshire, Devon, France, Flanders (many times), Cyprus, Holland and Germany. Our last foreign trip saw us performing Bonheidans Dance Festival in Flanders. We like to keep our national folk tradition alive both at home and abroad.
