This is a short, low-level walk from Buttermere village to Scale Force waterfall in the Lake District. No summit, no pressure — just a steady walk in cold, blustery winter conditions, taken at an unhurried pace. I’m making these walks to show what it really feels like to be out on the fells, without having to be fast, fit, or chasing big miles. Most walks look more like this than the highlight reels — and that’s exactly the point. This video is part of a series of easy and accessible Lake District walks, alongside quieter reflections on walking alone, pace, and making space to think. Some walks will stay low and gentle, others will head higher — but all of them are about walking at a human pace. If that sounds like your kind of walking, you’re very welcome to come along on the next one. This is the first in a quieter series of Lake District walks — some easy, some a little higher — all taken without rushing. Thanks for being here.
