Stay in Character!

Jonah 4:2 “..for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.” One thing I pray for us: That we will never lose our focus on the Character of Yahweh Eloheinu, the Lord our God: “God’s Love, Grace, Slow to Anger, Full of Compassion, Abounding in Mercy & Truth, abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm” (Ex.34:6; Neh.9:17;; Ps.86:15; 103:8; 111:4; 145:8+9; Joel 2:13; Jonah 4:2; Micah 7:7,8,18-20)! We must “Stay in Character” as for real! Because Christ, the Anointed is in Us for real! 1Joh.2:20 “You have the anointing of the Holy One, and you know all things!” I declare with you: The Spirit of God is in me, therefore the Character of God is also in me, reigning in me! 2Cor 5:14 “For the love of Christ controls (συνέχει (συνέχω) - controls, compels, hold together, constrain, press) us,..” 2Kor.4:16 “Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer person is decaying, yet our inner person is being renewed day by day. 17 For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” We look with our spiritual eyes, the eyes of our hearts, that is eternal. And then we declare for our future, for this year: “ וּמתוּקה טובה שׁנה – Shana Tova Umetuka” A Year Good & Sweet! And this is not wishful thinking, but a decision to stay in Character, to stay in the same Character of Him who is within! Praise the Lord! 2Cor.5:11 “Therefore, knowing ‘the fear of the Lord’ (τὸν φόβον τοῦ Κυρίου (OT jareih – fear (not scared but total respect, love, reverence, ultimate trust)), we persuade people, but we are well known to God; and I hope that we are also well known in your consciences. 14 For the love of Christ controls (συνέχει (συνέχω) - controls, compels, hold together, constrain, press) us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; 15 and He died for all, so that those who live would no longer live for them-selves, but for Him who died and rose on their behalf.” Not living your life for yourself, or as you see good, but a Christ life, with “Godly Character”! And that starts with reading Jesus, the Word/Bible & listening to Him! Mark 9:2 “..Jesus took with Him Peter, James, and John, and brought them up on a high mountain.. He was transfigured before them; 7 Then a cloud formed,.., and a voice came out of the cloud: “This is My beloved Son; listen to Him!” Listen to Love Himself/Father/Jesus/Holy Spirit so that His Love, the love of Christ can control, compel, hold together, constrain & press you into His image! So that you, come what may, in His in character, you will stay! Luke 10:38 “Now as they were traveling.. a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, who was also seated at the Lord’s feet, and was listening to His Word. 40 But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and.. said, “Lord, do You not care.. tell her to help me.” 41 But the Lord answered.. you are worried and distracted by many things; 42 but only one thing is necessary; for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” The one thing, good part, is to listen to Jesus, to stay in Character! Isa.55:1 “You there! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;.. 2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. 3 Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, According to the faithful, sure mercies of David.” Ps.106:21 “They forgot God their Savior, Who had done great things in Egypt 24 Then they rejected the pleasant land; They did not believe His word, 25 But grumbled in their tents; They did not listen to the voice of the Lord. (But) 44 Nevertheless He looked at their distress When He heard their cry; 45 And He remembered His covenant for their sake, And relented according to the greatness of His mercy. 48 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, From everlasting to everlasting. And all the people shall say, “Amen.” Praise the Lord!” 1Thess.5:23 TPT “Now, may the God of peace and harmony set you apart, making you completely holy. And may your entire being-spirit, soul, and body-be kept completely flawless in the appearing of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. 24 The one who calls you by name is trustworthy and will thoroughly complete his work in you.”
