Baartzy’s Brew and Andrew Garton Trio Thursday 5 November 2015 $10 Open Jam Sessions from 6pm – 7:30pm & 10:30pm – late 9pm – Baartzy’s Brew | 8pm – Andrew Garton Trio Baartzy’s Brew Martha Baartz has performed extensively at renowned Australian Jazz Venues and many national and international festivals including The Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival, The world famous Glastonbury Festival and The Edinburgh Festival. Martha is also a composer arranger, most well known for her compositions performed in The Baartz Freeman Sextet and on albums “South East” and “12 Salutations” and latest release “Dream Drops” which have received Radio National airplay. She has performed with Australian Jazz greats Sandy Evans, Bob Sedergreen (2008 Don Banks award winner) Andrea Keller (Aria winner) and Michelle Nicole (Wangaratta Jazz vocal award winner), to name a few. Martha BaartzStaying far away from headache jazz, Martha’s compositions bring it home with delta blues, soulful Gospel searing Swing and shimmering images of sound to uplift the audience.
