Finally there with this lathe also.. and possibly not really worth doing..? Often not considered is the real effort/investment of a restoration vs. the finite value of the machine.. In this case, many parts were missing, hence needed to be sourced or manufactured. Even though this machine came to me for almost nothing (a bottle of Whisky if I remember correctly..) the net cost is not in proportion to what could be considered the possible sales value, more a "break even" project. Anyways.. it has still been a rewarding project and I have (again) learnt a lot. Sort of takes ("forces" ) you though a set of practises/procedures that at least teaches and elevates your knowledge, so for this alone, it is worth the effort!
