In which we 'demonstrate' naval combat, and attempt to drive off an invading army. 2:06 - Tech 5:59 - We check out the Gallic Hunters*. An interesting unit... 7:45 - I form a navy, a glorious navy, that will definitely stand the test of time and in no way be immediately destroyed. 11:56 - facepalm 13:15 - The enemy approaches, then I am distracted by being asked to join a war. I accept, not knowing who I'm actually attacking. (It was some Britons.) 15:18 - Attempting to size up the enemy before we fight. These seem roughly equivalent to our Celtic Warriors, a bit more offense but less armour and morale. 16:23 - Attack! Drive them back! This will be an interesting fight. Frontline to frontline we are heavily favoured, but they have a lot more cav, some of which can hit and run, and more ranged units. We will have to charge in and be mindful of our flanks. 17:36 - Deployment over. Let battle commence! I won't place any spoilers this time, except I mismanage a bit. 27:39 - Battle over. There is the other matter of the Cantabrii stack to deal with as well... but that's for next time. *These seem like a very interesting unit. They don't seem that much better than slingers in a 1 to 1 comparison (although the missile damage is higher.) The main attraction is a plethora of abilities. Sniping off enemy troops seems cool, but I'm sure if they're anywhere out of the way, they'll just be run over with cav. Will probably try and use at some point, but I don't expect my army to ever contain more than two units of these.
