Ermine White w/Red interior, 283/290hp F.I., 4-spd manual transmission. The first generation Corvettes were built from '53-'62. During those years, there were four distinct body designs; '53-'55, '56-'57, '58-'60 and '61-62. Of these four, there were a few standouts. One was the '58. What set this apart from the '59 & '60 were two exterior features; the "louvered" hood and the two chrome spears on the trunk. The '58's were known for starting a trend of excess in there exterior design. This went for the other divisions, as well. Think Cadillac. Things started to simmer down a bit after the '59 model run, but these years will forever be remembered for the "Gingerbread". This beautiful '58 has been nicely frame off restored in classic Ermine White w/Red interior and features a #'s correct engine in the highest performance combo offered at the time; 290hp w/solid lifters and mechanical fuel injection, coupled to a 4-spd manual transmission. The cosmetics are very nice, from paint to interior and the car starts right up and feels strong right off the line!
