In a well-lit area, place the ampoule between the various color standards until the best color match is found. For ampoules that show a lighter color, use the low range or round comparator. Place the ampoule into the comparator flat end first, then hold it up to a source of light and view from the bottom. Rotate the comparator until you find the best color match.
