Mike Folland, Director Child, Family and Housing Services shares the realities for young people in non-family-based care, or residential care, who no longer have access to a range of support and resources once they turn 18. Mike shares his own personal experience of supporting his children with the transition to independent adulthood, which is in stark contrast to the realities faced by many young people when they exit the Child Protection System at 18. Mike reinforces our vision for every young person in our care to be listened to, have a voice, and thrive.
