The splits, although challenging, can be such a beautiful posture to experience through the physical body. We’ll open up slowly, and work our way towards the full splits (Hanumanasana). This practice has options for if you are just starting out on your yoga journey, or you are a regular practitioner. It isn’t about being perfect and getting down flat in the pose, but rather honouring where your body is at today, right here, right now. Whilst the journey to "getting your splits" is a long one and won't happen overnight. With self discipline and consistent practice and routine, you'll start to see progress in as little as 2 weeks! Practice this (or the stretches we do in this flow!) at least 3-5 times a week and see what happens! My advice, don't try go too deep too soon! This is how we create injury for ourselves in yoga. instead, try to make sure the muscles are ACTIVE in each stretch (aka engaging / flexing the quads (thighs) and booty.
