VV24 Last week Arianespace successfully brought to space its special passenger, the Copernicus Sentinel-2C satellite for the European Commission and European Space Agency - ESA. A perfectly executed European mission. On board the AVIO-built Vega launcher – the last of its generation - the rocket showcased once again its unique versatility and performance, as it has done throughout its 12 years in operation. With Sentinel-2C, Arianespace has now successfully launched 5 Sentinel satellites for the European Copernicus program, a fundamental Earth observation program providing crucial environmental and climate data for the planet. 🌍 ➡ This mission more than ever demonstrates our commitment to use space for a better life on Earth and to deliver to Europe an autonomous access.
