Unless you have a warm room to work on layouts in winter all scenic work has to stop. So what to do ? As an avid, dare I say it, addicted wagon kit builder I can sit at the kitchen table building wagons while the storm rages outside. All too often I start the next kit before I've fully finished the one before. Certainly weathering takes a back seat. What do you see here ? 2 Parkside PC13 LNER bulk Grain wagons. 1 Parkside PC51 P.O. Leith Warehousing grain wagon. 1 Parkside PC35 LNER (In BR(E) livery) Conflat 'S' with DX container. 1 Parkside PC26 LNER 12 Ton Van 4 Parkside PC20 LNER Bogie Sulphate wagons 4 Parkside PC80 20 Ton LNER Hoppers 2 Parkside PC77 21 Ton LNER/BR(E) hoppers 1 Bachmann LNER Brake Van. Not all these built during the last 3 months, but the first 9 were. Still a couple more to make up. Certainly a Parkside kits blitz, but I have made kits from : Keyser, Red Panda, Ratio, Dapol, Slaters, Cambrian, Chatham, Airfix. I do need a more representative LNER freight loco, the J94 used here is from during & post WWII. I always fancied a Q6 Raven, but not quite right for shorter mixed freight. As it's several years since I bought a new Loco I think I can indulge myself.
