German government's support to advance MHH in the Philippines

Through the Fit for School Programme, GIZ supported gender equity by bringing attention to menstrual health in the management of WASH in schools. With proper access to menstrual hygiene facilities, supplies, and information, menstruating learners can better participate in school activities and reach their full potential. The initiative also aims to create a more open conversation about menstruation through the #LetsTalkPERIOD campaign to break the taboos surrounding the topic. In celebration of Women’s Month, German Ambassador to the Philippines and 2023 EU Gender Champion, Anke Reiffenstuel, sits down in an interview with GIZ Goodwill Ambassador for Menstrual Health and Hygiene and Ms. Eco International 2022, Kathleen Paton to talk about gender-related issues in the country and the efforts of the German government to support the Philippines in addressing these issues.
