Loomigurumi Whale Shark design by me. After a very long time I finally made a tutorial for my whale shark design. It just took me so long to get this design right. Even when I came back to it recently I couldn't get it right and there was like 9 different versions of this whale. I am happy with how it came out it the end. I think it is the perfect balance of whale and shark. I can't believe I first posted this design 3 years ago. It's been a long time but I hope it was worth the wait. I hope you guys like this tutorial. I am very yappy in this one I'm sorry. I think I'm still understandable and you guys can always fast forward through my yapping. I guess I was just in a chatty mood. Anyways if you make a whale don't forget to share it with me I would love to see it :D My Socials :) Instagram: / gingercel Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/gingercel?r... TikTok: gingercel Band count Whale color: 91 White: 114 Total: 205 Pattern Tripled cap band and chain up 2 5 stitches on ends and 4 in the middle chain (14) ( Start by putting 3 in cap band then 2 in the middle chain, 5 on the last chain, 2 in the middle chain and 2 more in cap band. I recommend checking the tutorial just to see how my whale looks at this point and notice the c-clip placement. The c-clip needs to be in a specific place for this design.) Increase on 1st, 5th, 6th, 9th, and 10th (19) Increase on 6th, 7th, 11th, and 12th (23) (Switch to white) 1 row normal but only grabbing the inner part of each loop (23) (half row) 1 row normal (23) Decrease on last loop (22) Decrease every 3rd (17) Decrease every other (11) Decrease till closed Fins (top and sides) Stitch in a row 3 times (turn) 2 single stitches (turn) Decrease and tie off Repeat for all fins Tail fin top Stitch in a row 3 times (turn) 2 single stitches (turn) 1 single stitch and then tie off in next loop Tail fin bottom Stitch in a row 2 times (turn) 1 single stitch and tie off Spots The spots are the same as the cheeks in a lot of my designs. Tie in a slip knot band wherever you want the spot just don't pull it too tight and hide the tail :)
