Did you know Moushumi Chatterjee is one of the rare actresses who began her Hindi film career after marriage ? Moushumi was in the fifth class when she got the offer to work in the Bengali film ‘Balika Badhu’. The film was a big success making her a household name in Calcutta. But the entire unit had a tough time in handling Moushumi during its making. The actress herself narrates the interesting incidents in this episode. Moushumi married singer-composer Hemant Kumar’s son Jayanto Mukherjee when she was in the tenth class and came to Bombay. She was approached by Raj Khosla & Shakti Samanta for ‘Kuchhe Dhaage’ & ‘Anuraag’ respectively, and the rest is history. She was pregnant with her first daughter Payal while shooting for ‘Zehreela Insaan’ & ‘Roti Kapda Aur Makaan’. Film offers didn’t stop even after her delivery & she achieved greater heights as an actress after becoming a mother.
