34046 Braunton on The Torbay Express 18th August 2013

This is the second revenue earning railtour that Braunton is running just after her overhaul. The locations were Bedminster, Dawlish, Paignton, Tiverton Parkway and Yatton. Braunton passes through Bedminster a couple of minutes late due to a late HST in front with good bulleid whistles. Next stop was beautiful Dawlish. To be honest, i did quite a bit of running to get a really good shot of her from Langstone Rock to the Tunnel. She came through almost on time with plenty of whistles to the big crowd surrounding the tunnel with a bit of rain, cloud and sun surrounding my film. Then i catched Tom (BristolCastle) at Dawlish, James (NwsNoaaChaser) on the train to Paignton and Kristian (letmadnessbegin) at Paignton. As usual, brilliant banter and humour during the day with the engine attracting a lot of attention in Paignton as i took a few detail shots of Braunton while she was serviced. On the return journey, i filmed her flying through Tiverton Parkway and was 15 mins late due to her late departure from Paignton with a nice high speed whistle heading towards Whiteball. I managed to get a train to Taunton to get my connecting HST to Yatton and luckily we went in front of Braunton. My final shot at Yatton was in beautiful sunset as Braunton flies through 10 mins late with brilliant whistles at a pretty packed station much to the excitement of the little boys near me. A fab day out and possibly more South West railtours for Braunton.
