I’m honored to be the featured artist for the month of September at a local restaurant, and I wanted to make a painting with rich, seasonal colors — and it inspired me to create this piece. For this pour, I worked on a 24”x30” canvas — it felt amazing to get back to a larger format where the colors really had room to flow and breathe. I used a warm autumn palette of plum, berry red, gold, orange, and a touch of violet, and the way they blended together created such beautiful motion, lacing, and cells.
