This is a city with a deep history, with archaeological findings suggesting human settlement since the Paleolithic era. It was later a Roman settlement and then a significant Moorish enclave known as "Marbil-la”. Today, Marbella is a cosmopolitan city of around 150,000 residents, renowned for its unique microclimate, which provides warm weather year-round, and for having one of the most picturesque old towns in Andalusia. The currency is the Euro (€), and Spanish is the official language. The city is a delightful blend of two worlds: the modern luxury of the Golden Mile and Puerto Banús, and the authentic Andalusian charm of its historic core.
