Join us live for an inspiring talk with Dr. Ruokun Chen, digital artist, educator, and community builder, presented by The Sixth Sense Festival in collaboration with the NODE Institute. In this session, Ruokun Chen shares his journey through interactive and generative media art, focusing on the intersection of creative practice, education, and community building. He will speak about his early connection with TouchDesigner and how this relationship led to the creation of a global new media education community that has grown to over 200,000 members. As the author of the first TouchDesigner book published in China, now widely used as a standard textbook in digital art programs, he has played a key role in shaping new media education in the region. Through the international collaborations fostered by his community, this talk highlights how digital art can become a bridge for cross-border exchange, shared learning, and collective growth. Dr. Ruokun Chen is the founder of the interactive media studio Digital FUN and the founder of TEA, one of China’s leading new media education communities. He is affiliated with multiple universities and the National Laboratory of Digital Art, and is also the producer of the FLARE International New Media Art Festival.
