On the bench in this video is Paul's Vintage (by JHS / Trevor Wilkinson) V100 Les Paul copy. Sturdy basic LP style guitar this; a perfect platform to put together a guitar to your preferred specification and feel. In this set up I'm fitting an adjustable Tusq nut, a replacement gold roller bridge and a new Neutrik jack socket - along with doing a full set up with precision fret levelling. The good thing about Vintage brand guitars is that - for me at least - there's no real likelihood of threat of any surprises. The nut is rubbish (or at least WAS in the era this comes from) but I expect that and am ready for it; the tiny pots rattle around like four hungover mates after a heavy night out in a bleak urban landscape. But it's got heft and the neck is pretty good. The tuners are decent enough and it comes with Wilkinson humbuckers fitted, so a perfect modification machine methinks.
