The European Commission has developed several task-focused AI-based services that benefit from the large database of multilingual texts that have been translated in the EU institutions for decades. Through the EU funding programme Digital Europe, these services have been made available free of charge to, among others, those who work in public administration, as well as to academia, NGOs, small and medium enterprises. Seizing the opportunity created by the development of machine learning and large language models, these services use a large language model trained on high-quality carefully revised language data and importantly offer a high level of data security for the user. The services included are eTranslation, eSummary, eBriefing, eReply, Anonymisation, Speech-to-text, WebText and Accessible Text. It all started with eTranslation, which was originally developed as a tool for EU translators, but since then the IT developers at the Directorate-General for Translation have developed a range of additional services, enabling other forms of multilingual text processing, such as text summarisation, transcription, the creation of briefing documents, and more. 00:00:00 Part I: Welcome (in Swedish, by Johan Martelius, DGT Language Affairs Officer) 00:04:08 Part II: Overview and explanation of the various services (in English, by Kristiina Suviste from DGT AI Language Services Advisory) 01:01:55 Part III: Demonstration of usage cases and results of some of the services (in Swedish, by Johan Martelius) 01:20:17 Part IV: Questions and answers (in English, with Kristiina Suviste and Johan Martelius) 01:34:58 Part V: Wrap-up (in English)
