Tarkov's Two Repair Kits are Useless

The armor and weapon repair kits have been invaluable for the last two years since their introduction in the game. Being able to hold off on spending money to repair your gear and instead using these kits has been such a pleasant experience. Even if you don't intend to use them, they sell for crazy money on the flea market. So it's a win-win regardless. However, since BSG introduced the armor hitbox rework and all the changes that came alongside that, these kits invertedly had their effectiveness reduced drastically. They are still good, but considering that armors basically don't zero out anymore, and are extremely cheap to repair with money, it begs the question of what happened, and why do these kits feel so useless these days. I primarily focus on the armor repair kit because it's been more impactful overall over the weapon repair kit.
