This week didn’t look like progress — it looked like sickness, weakness, rest, and learning to slow down. In this episode of Back 40 to 50, I share how illness disrupted my ultramarathon training and what faithfulness looks like when strength is gone. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 12:9–10, this video reflects on God’s grace, human weakness, and trusting the Lord when discipline means stopping instead of pushing...because I had to. Training doesn’t always move forward in straight lines. Sometimes stewardship means listening to your body, accepting rest, and trusting God’s timing instead of forcing productivity. Weakness exposes our limits — and reminds us where true strength comes from. This episode is part of my preparation for the Rocky 50 ultramarathon, but the lesson applies far beyond running. Whether you’re facing sickness, setbacks, or frustration in training or life, this is a reminder that God’s grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in weakness.
